Secrets of the Big Bang

Secrets of the Big Bang Scientist fenil said...

What was matter like within the first second of the Universe’s life?

Matter, from which everything in the Universe is made, is believed to have originated from a dense and hot cocktail of fundamental particles. Today, the ordinary matter of the Universe is made of atoms, which contain a nucleus composed of protons and neutrons, which in turn are made of quarks bound together by other particles called gluons. The bond is very strong, but in the very early Universe conditions would have been too hot and energetic for the gluons to hold the quarks together. Instead, it seems likely that during the first microseconds after the Big Bang the Universe would have contained a very hot and dense mixture of quarks and gluons called quark–gluon plasma.

So very wonderful event today.very enjoy today.

Andromeda Galaxy

The Andromeda Galaxy is one of the most magnificent, objects in the night sky and undoubtedly the most famous , galaxy out side our own milky way.Easily visible as a hazy patch to the naked eye,the galaxy covers as much of the sky as 5 full moons put together, binoculars will show Andromeda in its entirety with a clear brightening towards the center.Binoculars will also two of Andromeda companion galaxies.
M32 and M110,careful observation of the nuclear region with a telescope, will reveal faint dust lanes and other structures. The Hubble space telescope has shown , that the Andromeda galaxy has a double nucleus, indicating that it may have cannibalized another galaxy. M31 was once thought to be a nebula inside our galaxy, but in 1932,astronomer Edwin Hubble showed that it lies outside the milky way. M31 is now thought to be about 2.9 million light years away. It is over 150,000 light years across, and has a mass 1.2 trillion times that of our sun.

UNIVERSE

The known Universe contains countless millions of Galaxies and stars. From Earth the stars seem to form patterns in the sky. These patterns are known as constellations. We see different star patterns from month to month as earth orbits the sun.
